I bought this, because of the hype over the Sonia Kashuk line at Target. And I really need a good concealer for my stubborn to cover under eye area. This was a real let down. It settles into every little crease it can. It looks awful! It covers OK, but you can get stuff that works better for cheaper. Definitely not going to repurchase
Pros:None Cons:Settles into creases, when it sets the product looks bad, way too pricey for how poor it works.
This is a new Kashuk Tools brush from Target (the ones with the black contoured handles). It has a dense, synthetic flat brush head that's around 3/4" in diameter. I use it to apply creme blushes and it's fantastic. I just tap the brush against the creme until I have a light layer on the brush, then stipple it on the apples of my cheeks. Then I just buff it in for a very natural look. Prior to this brush I used my MAC 187 SE for creme blushes and I prefer the results I get with this one.
Pros:Doesn't stink, doesn't shed, brush head is very dense and firm, doesn't scratch the face. Cons:I wish it came in a sleeve instead of that bulky case.
I really like this brush. I have been disappointed with my two other Sonia Kashuk brushes(travel size), but I am happy with this full size crease brush. It has black, soft, natural bristles and a white plastic handle. I find it's a little big for my crease, so I have to be careful when using it to apply color. It blends shadow out beautifully. It has held up through many washing, and is still very soft. I would definitely repurchase this brush.
Pros:Soft natural bristles, affordable, blends and applies shadow well, holds up well to repeated washing Cons:None
I bought this along with another travel size brush. I like the short handles. The bristles are a soft, natural hair and the handle is white. Unfortunately the bristles have not retained their shape through normal washings. They have separated, which has caused a considerable drop in performance. I can no longer use this brush to pack on shadow. At best I can do a little light blending. I will not be purchasing this again.
Pros:Small size, soft natural bristles, cost Cons:Performance quickly drops, does not hold up to washing
I like the small size of this brush. Unfortunately, that's all I like about it. The brush seemed fine at first, but over time it quickly started performing poorly. The bristles(natural hair) began to separate, and it began applying shadow poorly. The bristles have remained soft through washings, but they have not held their shape. I would not recommend this brush at all
Pros:Bristles remain soft, cost, small size Cons:Bristles quickly start to separate and performance goes downhill
this is such a great travel set. target has done such an awesome job getting major designers and artists to make signature lines for them, and the sonia kashuk line is just as impressive.
when i am away from my house and doing other people's makeup, this is my go-to set. it come swith three different sized eyeshadow brushes, a concealer brush (which works great with cream shadows, btw), a very fluffy powder/blush brush, and a few others.
the entire packaging is incredibly sleek, the glossy white vinyl wrapped case to the flat handles and well spaced from each other. they aren't "travel" small like most sets, and you feel like you paid more than you did when you have them.
the real triumph is that the soft, and very dense brushes do not shed at all. i have had this set for a year and a half, and after many washes and many uses, this set is almost as good as when i first got it.
my least favorite thing in the case is the eyelash comb. it really doesnt work.
Pros:sleek compact, high end looking packaging. DOES NOT SHED!!!! Cons:the eyelash comb. too thick to actually work
THis is my first metal lash comb and i can't believe i never bought this before! I went through so many plastic combs and never thought to buy this one. I like how it folds in so the metal comb don't break. It was only $4.99 at Target.
Pros:cheap and seperates lashes so much better than a plastic comb. its also easier to clean this one too. Cons:none
I love this brush! I got a travel set kit back in October, and was impressed with the quality of her brushes, so I picked this one up. It doesn't feel harsh at all, yet it's stiff enough to blend like a dream. I highly recommend it!
This is a sheer tinted lip balm that is light strawberry pink with a hint of coral. It has a light strawberry fragrance that's pleasant, though it doesn't taste like anything. It works as well as any other lip balm, but it also gives your lips a nice healthy color.
Its a very soft brush and it worked great the first few times but after i washed it, it splayed. It doesn't make a perfect line anymore so i won't be using it for lining.
Sonia Kashuk's Concealor Brush has nice soft synthetic bristles which are great for applying creamy concealors. The size of the brush is perfect for concealing large areas like undereye circles, although I personally think it is a bit too big for more precise concealing like small blemishes. However, it only costs about $5 or $6 dollars, so it is a great buy and still worth checking out!
Pros:Soft bristles, good for concealing large areas Cons:A little large for concealing small spots
This is a really sheer, opaque concealer. I don't see it doing the job of covering up any zits or flaws, but more of an undereye concealer meant to blend away dark circles. It blends softly and well into the delicate skin area without looking too heavy or cracked looking. Its slightly pinkish undertone would be meant for only undereye circles, but nowhere else on the face. So if you're looking to cover up minor flaws, this is not the conealer to use. The brightening pencil on the end is meant to be applied along the wetline to make eyes appear more awake, but its texture is a bit dry and doesn't apply smoothly. However, the pencil's golden shimmer looks beautiful when used at the inner corners of eyes. Plus, I like the clear, rectangular tubing.
REALLY oily - did the oil test on a paper bag and it spread big time. Thought I'd try it anyhow and it went on great but left me feeling like an oil slick within a few hours. I can't imagine how it would break me out after continual use and won't let it stick around to find out. Her mascara I love but on this I know I wasted my money.
I bought this in "Beach Bum" from Target (it was not too expensive but I don't remember the price)... and I love it! It's packaged in a cute little twist up stick... looks bright pink but goes on perfectly sheer and blendable... and stays on.
Pros:Blendable, sheer color, convenient packaging, not too pricey Cons:It is a gel/cream so it picks up flaws if you don't use a primer/foundation.
This is a light muted rose.I think it contains light shimmer in it and is of very good quality. It is very soft and lasted for me for 5 hrs without e/s primer. It is more comparable to high-end brand eyeshadows. One of the best drugstore brands so far...in my opinion.Since it is only $5.99 I think people can give this a try if they want to.I surely recommend it.
This is a very nice balm to have in your makeup stash. I would compare it to Neutrogena's berry boosting balm. It's a red lip balm in a little pot with a flip top. It has some nice shine to it and seems to be a bit thicker than Neutrogena's. Also slightly more red tint. I love using this alone or under a lipstick because it just makes everything go on more smoothly. It has a nice amount of shine but that isn't really it's main feature. If you're bored with your normal balms and want something a little more "grown-up" with a lovely tint, try this out! Also don't be scared of the kinda bright red shade. It's very nice and sheer on the lips!
Pros:feels great on lips, sheer color, moisturizing Cons:could by shinier, but no biggie
I really like this bronzer...I've used a couple other Sonia Kashuk products and I'm really loving this brand in general. But this bronzer is cool because it's a cream and I always used to go with a powder bronzer....which is odd because when you really think about it, a bronze look should be fresh and maybe a little dewy to look natural.
I get the best results when I put it on after I moisturize. The one downfall of the product is the little sponge tip applicator...it could possibly be usable, but too small for my liking. So I just use a larger makeup sponge and it works great. my TIP: use your sponge to blend this on your brow bone for a really brightened up look!
Pros:great long lasting, natural looking bronzer....also super cute white compact! love it! Cons:teensy sponge tip applicator provided
This is a cool, matte pink blush -- not a very bright pink, but a more subdued pink. It comes in an adorable compact with a mirror and little brush (though I still use a "real" blush brush with this!). This is a nice blush and goes on very sheer, so you don't have to worry about accidently using too much (but you can layer it on if you want to use more).
However, I don't think it's quite the perfect color for my very pale, yellow-undertoned skin -- peachy-pink Milani Luminous looks more natural on my skin than this color, even though my skin does flush a pink/red color naturally! But I will still keep this blush around when I need a shade to go with my cool pink lipsticks -- and I do like how this blush is more matte than Luminous, since my skin does get oily and shiny very quickly, I don't need my blush to add any extra shine!
I have never tryed this product line before so I thought to try this lipgloss. I bough it at Target. I think the color would be o.k. for someone else. It is a very neutral color. It is very blah to me. Does not perk up my face. I need more color. Very boring color, very boring packaging. Waste of money!
